Question #1: My Top 100 Favorite Albums Of The 00's (Rate, Hate, Debate)?

I posted this about a month or two ago, but it was just a top 10 of every year of the decade. Question #2: Air force ROTC questions? BEST ANSWER 10 POINTS!!!!!!!!!!?

I was wondering when I should apply for the scholarship because my current sat scores aren't that good(640-math and 470-reading), but I took a course this summer and I improved.. I'm taking the sats again in october. Should I apply now with the low scores or should I wait until October and submit my application as a whole? Also I was wonder hat my chances are of getting a scholarship. I have a 3.42 unweighted gpa. If my sat score goes as it was on the last test it will be (750-math and 650-reading). I am Vice president ofthe history for the past three years. I am treasurer of th chess club for two years. The chess team was second in the state. I did jv track 9,10 grade. What are my chances of getting the scholarship?
How is a 750- math and a 650- reading a bad score?

Question #3: Why does Iraq's oil was stolen by American and British corporations? 9/11 was an excuse to steal Iraq's oil?

Iraq's oil: The spoils of war

Iraqis face the dire prospect of losing up to $200bn (116bn) of the wealth of their country if an American-inspired plan to hand over development of its oil reserves to US and British multinationals comes into force next year. A report produced by American and British pressure groups warns Iraq will be caught in an "old colonial trap" if it allows foreign companies to take a share of its vast energy reserves. The report is certain to reawaken fears that the real purpose of the 2003 war on Iraq was to ensure its oil came under Western control.

The Iraqi government has announced plans to seek foreign investment to exploit its oil reserves after the general election, which will be held next month. Iraq has 115 billion barrels of proved oil reserves, the third largest in the world.

According to the report, from groups including War on Want and the New Economics Foundation (NEF), the new Iraqi constitution opened the way for greater foreign investment. Negotiations with oil companies are already under way ahead of next month's election and before legislation is passed, it said.

The groups said they had amassed details of high-level pressure from the US and UK governments on Iraq to look to foreign companies to rebuild its oil industry. It said a Foreign Office code of practice issued in summer last year said at least $4bn would be needed to restore production to the levels before the 1990-91 Gulf War. "Given Iraq's needs it is not realistic to cut government spending in other areas and Iraq would need to engage with the international oil companies to provide appropriate levels of foreign direct investment to do this," it said.

Yesterday's report said the use of production sharing agreements (PSAs) was proposed by the US State Department before the invasion and adopted by the Coalition Provisional Authority. "The current government is fast-tracking the process. It is already negotiating contracts with oil companies in parallel with the constitutional process, elections and passage of a Petroleum Law," the report, Crude Designs, said.

EARLIER THIS YEAR A BBC NEWSNIGHT REPORT CLAIMED TO HAVE UNCOVERED DOCUMENTS SHOWING THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION MADE PLANS TO SECURE IRAQI OIL EVEN BEFORE THE 9/11 TERRORIST ATTACKS ON THE US. Based on its analysis of PSAs in seven countries, it said multinationals would seek rates of return on their investment from 42 to 162 per cent, far in excess of typical 12 per cent rates.

Taking an assumption of $40 a barrel, below the current price of almost $60, and a likely contract term of 25 to 40 years, it said that Iraq stood to lose between 74bn and $194bn. Andrew Simms, the NEF's policy director, said: "Over the last century, Britain and the US left a global trail of conflict, social upheaval and environmental damage as they sought to capture and control a disproportionate share of the world's oil reserves. Now it seems they are determined to increase their ecological debts at Iraq's expense. Instead of a new beginning, Iraq is caught in a very old colonial trap."

Louise Richards, chief executive of War on Want, said: "People have increasingly come to realise the Iraq war was about oil, profits and plunder. Despite claims from politicians that this is a conspiracy theory, our report gives detailed evidence to show Iraq's oil profits are well within the sights of the oil multinationals."

"We work closely with other departments such as the Treasury to give assistance and advice," he said, adding that the Foreign Office had not been involved in specific lobbying.

Gregg Muttitt, of Platform, a campaign group that co-authored the report, said Iraq had an existing - albeit damaged - network of oil expertise and could use current revenues or new borrowings to fund investment. The report named several companies, including the Anglo-Dutch Shell group, as jockeying for position before a new government is elected. In 2003, Walter van de Vijver, then head of exploration and production, said investors would need "some assurance of future income and a supportive contractual arrangement". The group said yesterday that the involvement of foreign oil companies would be determined by the new Iraqi administration. "We aspire to establish a long-term presence in Iraq and a long-term relationship with the Iraqis, including the newly elected government."

No multinationals are operating in Iraq now because of the poor security situation.

Question #8: I don't want to be apart of the team! Help please?

I used to be really good at running cross country. In high school, my 5K PR was 18:42 and I was captain and MVP and I just loved it. In november, my brother passed away. After that, I started eating a lot more because food was my comfort and I started to lose interest in running. All track season I did pretty bad and when summer came along, my college coach sent me a training schedule for my freshman year. I didnt run all summer because I just hated it. I cried almost every night because I was so nervous for college xc and I developed an eating disorder. College pre season started a week ago. I met all the girls on the team and I love them but I still hate running. I told my coach I didn't want to compete and he said okay but he thinks i should still stay with the team for emotional support. The thing is, I feel weird going to the bonfires and team meetings and stuff with them when Im not showing up for practice. I just wish I wasnt apart of the team at all really. What should I do? thanks so much for helping

Question #9: What happened to the "summer of recovery"?

Earlier this month, first-time claims for unemployment hit a nine-month high. The unemployment rate remains at 9.5% and 18.4% of workers are out of a job, can only get part-time work, or have given up looking for a job altogether. Sales of existing homes dropped 27% from June to July, hitting the lowest point since data were first collected in 1999. The Conference Board's Consumer Confidence Index fell to 50.4 in July, continuing a slide that started in February. And the stock market is down 11% from its peak in April.

All of this has helped shatter public confidence in the president. In early May, Mr. Obama's approval on the economy in the YouGov/Polimetrix poll was 42%. By mid-August, it was 35%—a frightening number for Democrats less than 70 days from a midterm election. According to this week's Reuters poll, 72% are "very" worried about jobs and 67% "very concerned" about government spending.

The White House frequently asserts that "between 2.3 million and 2.8 million jobs were either saved or created" by the $620 billion in stimulus money spent by June. Set aside the absurdity of the administration inventing the "saved" category and then pretending it can ascertain, with scientific precision, the number of jobs that have been "saved." Since the stimulus passed, 2.6 million Americans have lost their jobs and 1.2 million people have given up even looking for work.

Question #10: Is this what Barack Obama had in mind as the "summer of recovery"? Is this what he thinks recovery looks like?

Really? Where is your proof? Sounds like a stat you just pulled out of your butt.
"Let me guess. You are one of those people who sit in the back seat of the car and ask, "Are we there yet? When will we be there?" over and over and over ......."

Not at all. I'm a person who believes a person when they say something and when it doesn't come true I question why they promised something that they could not deliver on. Politicians need to be held accountable.

Question #13: Does She have SERIOUS problems?

Well Hello My Name Is Neil first of all and Im A Accountant In London I own My own small firm.
Recently ( since its the summer holidays for kids in the UK ) I have been lucking after my niece who is 13 Im her dads brother making me her blood related Uncle obviously. I'm Not Married And Have no children .In-fact all the women I've dated say I look a tad like Heinrich Himmler but thats NOT THE POINT HERE The reason Im explaining this is that I'm so confused, My Niece Whom Im looking after Spends a large amount of time Looking at me Intensely and watching my every move. I was making two pizzas for both of us last night and I turned around to talk to her saying something like can you set the table? and she took about 5 seconds to respond after saying, Oh sorry Uncle Neil Im so sorry what did you say again? Then this morning i heard her come into my room when it was about 3-am she woke me up but i pretended i was asleep I think she was looking at me and I felt someone put a hand on my chest then she just left and she has avoided speaking to me today.

This sounds quite childish but.... Does she want to kill me or something.
Does she have serious communication problems?
She is not like this with other people, why me?
I love my niece very much Put this stay she is having in my house, she has really crept me out...
Im 42 and to be honest Its really starting to stress me out a bit.

Regards
Neil
xoxoxo
For the people saying she likes me sexually, I strongly doubt that as she has a boyfriend whom she spends most of her time with , she goes to see him every 2 days or so in the city center for a couple hours. And Plus I hate to be mean to my self esteem but Yeah agreeing with the rude/correct first comment Himmler looked pretty bad and since i look like him most say.... thats not a good thing is it? Im just worried as i love her very much and i worry for her mental state/safety. Thank-you for your answers most very informative - regards xoxo neil

Question #15: I'm scared for the field hockey season...?

Our pre-season starts tomorrow morning and i'm so scared. i have never played a team sport before, but we, as a team, have been working out the whole summer! the coaches were never there, but we ran and did lots of exercise and i actually improved from an 11 minute mile to a 9:42 minute mile. nonetheless, i couldn't get my physical in until after the first meeting so it didn't start off on a good note. i'm scared because i usually can keep up with the other girls, but i'm sure with the coaches there it will be harder. granted, i am not the worst on the team; but i'm near the bottom. i'm scared i'm going to forget to do something and cost the team sprints or running the whole practice. gah. what should i do?

@ Tyler: Yes, it's based on overall plays.
@ The Mic Messiah: It's okay buddy, at least I know how to scrobble.
@ Dipset 4 Life: "48. Cam'ron – Come Home With Me"
@ KillaCam: I find Big L somewhat overrated. Illmatic is great, but I don't listen to it much anymore. I don't like Krs-One at all. Eminem is the most overrated recording artist since Elvis. Yeeeah Baby was meh.
@ Accent Maskless: U Mad? You clearly fail to read too, this is Duff Man's Top 100, not about.com's top 100 or KillaCam's top 100.
@ Crypt: The xx - xx was released in 2009. But regardless, it's a dope album!
@ simoneperrot: You're an idiot.
